Siemens GZ34 rectifier tube provides the B+ supply for the tube sections. Also features a vintage cateye tube for the power indicator. Input tube is a 6AQ8 which feeds into a 5687. This unit is heavily upgraded with a outboard tube power supply. A large Siemens oil capacitor for the power supply can be seen in the picture. The two separate volume control has been changed to the DACT CT2 types. Total upgrade cost was just over S$1000. Upgrade implemented by Zenn Audio. Now for sale at $1250. Sold

Quad II system consisting of the preamp, FM tuner and two monoblock power amps. Output tubes are KT66. One monoblock has a pair of GEC KT66. The other has a pair of Pinnacle KT66 which is structurally identical to the GEC KT66. All other tubes are mostly Mullards or of British origin. Cosmetically very good condition. Preamp and power amps tested working. However not able to get any output from the FM tuner. Perhaps it need more than a piece of meter long wire as an antenna.
